Abstract:

This study consists of a comprehensive survey of the Israeli military arsenal as of the end of 1978. The information included in the study was gathered from numerous highly credible international sources. The survey focuses on the basic weapons systems of the Israeli military forces: land (tanks, armored cars, field artillery, anti-aircraft guns, anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles); air (fighter aircraft, reconnaissance aircraft, transport and refueling aircraft, light multipurpose aircraft, helicopters, air-to-air and air-to-land missiles); and sea (gunboats, submarines, anti-ship missiles). The book lists the specifications of all these weapons systems and gives their major operational characteristics; it also includes illustrations of each type of weapon.
