Abstract:
This study illustrates the dimensions of the water crisis in Israel, arguing that Israel will not incorporate anything into its plan for Palestinian self-government in the occupied territories that will undermine its control of the water resources in Palestine. The study also concludes that Israel will attempt to gain control over additional Arab water sources, (the Litani, the Yarmouk) in order to face the expected increase in water demand in its cities, and to meet the demands of its settlement policies in the occupied territories.
