Khirbat al-Tira lies nearly 1.5 kilometers west of the historic core of Ramallah and approximately 16 kilometers northwest of Jerusalem (Figure 1). It is situated just beside the Ramallah Women’s Training Centre, a United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) facility, in proximity to the Saint George School. It occupies the summit and slopes of a small hill at an elevation of 804 meters, commanding a wide vista of areas to the north and the west.
