Michael Dumper is professor of Middle East politics at Exeter University, U.K., and author of The Politics of Sacred Space: The Old City of Jerusalem in the Middle East Conflict (Lynne Rienner, 2002) and The Future for Palestinian Refugees: Toward Equity and Peace (Lynne Rienner, 2007). He is currently engaged in a comparative study of divided cities in Europe and the Middle East.
