Developing the Palestinian Economy

George T. Abed, currently a senior official at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington, was until recently the director-general of the Welfare Association, a Palestinian development-assistance foundation based in Geneva. Dr. Abed has written extensively on economic development issues and on the Palestine question. This interview reflects his personal views on the matters discussed, not those of the IMF.
